Last week, Jared and I were on vacation for a few days. The first couple of nights, our roomies were out of town, so we enjoyed the quiet time by hanging out and cooking at home. Jared is fabulous chef, by the way. We had a fritata one night with steamed spinach. The second night, we had ribs and homemade potato salad...yum-o. Then, on Monday we headed to San Diego for a couple of nights for our anniversary. We have been married 6 years! We rented a condo on the beach with a wonderful, relaxing view. Listening to the waves while basking in the sun was just what we needed :) We also went to the San Diego Zoo, which has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. It was amazing. Jared cooked while we were there too. Fish and pasta one night and a Mexican meal (can't remember the name) the other night. It was a wonderful time. Memorial Day is today. We aren't doing anything because Jared had to work. I walked 8 miles this weekend and read. That's about it. My kind of weekend! Here are a few pics from our trip...
